Oregon Territorial Big Bore Silhouette Championship

Today was the big bore and tomorrow is the pistol caliber. They are both 80 shot matches. I was just happy to finish in the top ten today....still brought a pound of bacon and a dozen eggs home, but no medal this year. There were some fantastic shooters today.

70x80 was only good enough for 4th!

70x80 is indeed very good!! What are these hotshots using for equipment, and are they your local guys?

Where is the shoot? At the COSSA range? I shoot BPCR Silhouettes there a few times a year.

The location is Tri-County GC, in Sherwood. www.tcgc.org

Match winner used a Winchester 1894, 2nd used an 1894 CARBINE with factory buckhorns. They both shot 73x80 and had a 2 round shoot off.
All competitors were our regular league shooters. Our NRA Postal League Team took 3rd last year. We lost 2nd to a team from Texas by 3 points.

May 3 is the Oregon Territorial "Military Cast Bullet" Silhouette Championship. Any military bolt, lever, semiauto, single-shot with a total cast lead bullet qualifies. 80 shot match.

July 25 - OT Smallbore "Hunter" Championship, 80 shot
July 26 - " " "Cowboy" ", 120 shot
July 27 - " " "Standard" ", 80 shot

Oregon Territorial includes OR, WA, ID, MT, and BC
