Well, I am back in the levergun business

Post by Marlin .35 »

Had to get a levergun, have been without one for 3 months due to unexpected financial disasters. Went looking at my local gunshop, and there was a Marlin .308MX. Used, but without so much as a smudge on it. It is brand new. Guy bought it and din not like it. He thought he was buying a .308 Winchester. $399.00 out the door. I'm really excited. Bought a Marlin 925, .22 mag bolt action when I was there also. I have no way to post pics!!! Sorry. Waiting for a Leupold 2X7X33 to mount on it, then to find more ammo. I send a range report when I get it set up!!!! Art

Thanks!!! I just read the .308MX forum on Marlin Owners.com, and according to them everyone who has purchases one, just loves it. One guy shot an elk at 378 yds, using the factory ammo. Showed some hogs that had been shot. Entrance hole, .308 cal, exit wound about 8 inches. Can't wait to try it. Art
