Though may last to post has not been about Leverguns, I believe you guys my get a chuckle out of this.
Greg as a flight crew member (rescue swimmer and gunner). Took the Navy Sere training in Maine a few years ago.
He was with 1 pilot and 2 seals. After a few days in the mountains they were caught. During an integration, Greg was told to tell them what they wanted to know, or they will go to his home and kill his family. Gregs answer to that was "they better wear cast iron underware because my dad carries a gun". The instructor struck him and chipped a tooth. Greg said it did not matter as latter the instructors had a beer with him after the course.
I do believe we raised him right.

Yep, you sure did.....
As an aside, during Basic in the E&E block, a skinny little twerp took a swing at me and I flattened his azz. Twerp had egg on his face, and I got a round of applause. Basic was tough, they all knew I was going to a Band....Sort of like A Boy Named Sue...

Yep, you done good. What little training I had was no where that intense. However, I wonder if they would have tried that ruse on my generation. Our fathers had for the most part fought in WWII.
My own was a quiet, loving man who could freeze fire with one look. What those eyes had seen and what his body had done remained a mystery until my 21st year. When I got back from overseas we talked. Then never brought it up again. What need saying was said.

He did well, SERE can be a bit intense for some students at times.
