OT - Miniature Firearms

I was looking for a photo of a particular ivory stocked levergun I saw one time, and I ran across this web page of a gentleman by the name of David Kucer, a Master Miniature Gunsmith.

I thought the subject and the photos of some of his work was fascinating.

I thought that maybe y'all might like it too.

Fred - I've run across only a few miniature firearms, at gun shows, every now & then over the last 45 years - and noticed two things about them.

The workmanship was impeccable, the size making it seem as I was viewing them the wrong way through a looking glass. :shock:

They were always more expensive than the full-sized, firing, identical firearm it duplicated. :roll:


I was impressed - but I haven't seen any in person for quite a while. 8)

I used to see them a lot more as well, but none over the last several years. Figure this is such an outstanding example of individual craftsmanship that in this day and age, no one has taken up the skills or time needed... :(

I just saw a 1/2 scale Wincheter 94 carved out of a single piece of wood. on F-Bay item #180236295949. Quite a piece of work.
