I can't believe it, but my chubby little baby is not so much a baby any more. It doesn't seem like it's been a whole year already. If it goes this fast, she'll be driving pretty soon.
We got her a swing for the tree outside. She has a blast on it, but, mostly she likes to relax and soak up the view.

Everyone always told me the same thing. I never really understood how fast they grow till I had my own. Mine's 5 now, but it seems like only a couple months ago I was holding her in one of my hands on the day she was born.
My second of three daughters went to the Senior prom last night. Wow she is pretty. Got into a major university and landed a 4year scholarship that should let me keep my guns.
My daughter turned 6 Friday April 18 and my son turns 10 next Friday (May2). All I can tell you is enjoy the heck out of each age and stage, don't wish for her to get older faster, and don't blink too long because she's going to get older faster anyway!
Oldest is 18 now, and driving and off to college soon. I remember when she could stand in one of my rubber chore boots and rest her chin on the edge. I never took a picture of that, and now it's too late...
Enjoy every stage, and the advice about spending TIME doing stuff with them is so true. Nothing fancy needed - just play legos or walk outside and pick dandelions or throw rocks. Never met a kid who was a 'dissapointment' who had lots of time one on one with each parents and with the parents together, but lots of kids I'm glad aren't mine who had parents out working and gone all the time so they could buy the kid the best toys and so on.
Oh yeah, get rid of the television. Keep it if you want to watch home movies or rent DVD's, but otherwise get rid of it; it rots minds and wastes time. (My perspective is admittedly that of a farm-dweller; when we lived in the city we did watch some TV, because there wasn't much else to do.)

Now listen boy, I'm tryin' to teach you somethin'. That ain't an optical illusion, it only LOOKS LIKE an optical illusion.
