planning a trip

Post by H_Talon »

will be traveling the I40 from Vegas to West Virginia, so looking to compile
a list of gun stores and places I can hit on the way to try and pick up some 22lr.

and I love a good gun store (does that make me a nut job :-)

anyway nothing to far off the I40 ... I see there are a few gander mountains
and a couple of cabelas, bass pro's, but looking for something better :-)

thanks guys & gals

I would Google the small towns as you get to them.....Google Maps should take you right to them......

Por Exemple:

BTW, I've stayed at the Blarney Inn in Shamrock....average, inexpensive, and the super nice lady running it by herself could use the business.

There is a huge one in the Indiana town just across the river from Louisville. Forget the name.

Outdoors America in Ok city used to be a pretty good place. Haven't been in probably 10 yrs. It's just a mile or two off 40 on the west side of Ok city. Can't remember the road name. It's the same road as the exit, just drive straight and it will be on the left. There's another one in a little strip mall just a little past the OA exit if I remember right. You can see it from 40. Actually I think it's the same exit. Google should be able to help you out.

Fort Thompson Gun Shop in North Little Rock is a good place with good folks that run it. Real easy to get to off of I 40, maybe two miles.

Forgot to say Arkansas.

I think you're thinking of Whitakers. They advertise being the largest gun store in Kentucky and having over 8000 firearms in stock.
