It's a Christmas miracle!

Post by OldWin »

The wife and I had to go down to Augusta today to go to Sam's club to get some of the supplies for Chrstmas get togethers. Not real high on my list but it meant boneless wings at the 99 restaurant so I was game.
On the way down I figured I'd push my luck and said, "hey, I'd like to stop into Dick's and see if they have any 22's."
The princess rolled her eyes and said "ok". I assured her it wouldn't be a minute cause they surely wouldn't have em.

Jackpot! This is more than I've scored in my town in two years.
It IS a Merry Christmas after all. :D

Strange, I was just thinking about the fact that it has now been two full years since I have seen ANY .22s for sell at anything other than scalpers prices. I'm glad to hear at least someone is.

How much per round?

KTP had a half pallet of bulk-pack 22s a week or so ago, but there was "just no way" I would cough up $0.10 per to buy a brick.

$0.07 per (plus tax) or $35.00 per brick is my self-imposed max price.

But I admit it's been over a year since I've bought any at that price...

How much did you pay for that miracle?

I haven't seen the "222" pack. Like others, I was used to bricks in 500 round increments, then saw some go to 525, then fall to 333.

I'm sure glad you got some shells...was a little frightened for you when you mentioned "the princess rolled her eyes"...in some cases that does not go well, especially in the confines of a moving vehicle... :)

It was $15.81 including tax for the Winchester 222's, so about .07 a round.

It's still ridiculous considering it's "bulk pack". I will say I've had good luck with the Winchester 333 and 555 packs in the past.

I've had a 5k round case of CCI Mini Mags on back order at Midway for almost a year. Now I hear they are starting to cancel back orders so I'm sure it's going to happen to me soon.

Yeah, you're my last hope Six. When my wife is getting ready to head south for a visit I will let you know. I will definitely come for another visit again as I had a great time last spring.

If your buddy has some in stock I will pick some up.
