Post by Nate Kiowa Jones »

I was recently ask to sell some guns for a widow sell her husbands estate.

I will be listing these on GunAuction but I thought I would give you guys a heads up, as these will all start at $.01.

The most unique is this Gary Reeder Tombstone Classic Ruger. He charges $1300 to do this to your gun!!!

GREAT pistol, but if they don't put me in debtor’s prison, I will be lucky thanks for posting for the option.

Very pretty gun! But, is it a "shooter" or a "looker"?

I have seen and handled this gun while at Steves Gunz a couple of weeks ago.
The photos do not do it justice. Much nicer in person. It a shooter also.
I would consider it a BBQ gun.

If it were mine I would have to shoot it. But, this one appears to have never been shot. Plus, I have several SAA's and rifles in 32-20 so I really don't need it.

I may bid on this one.

Uberti Cattleman SAA TU-TONE Blue and REAL color-case hardening. 38-40

It's a 38-40 and what looks like Turnbull color case. The action is already done too. I have a spare cylinder that can be reamed to 40 S&W. I carry an old Glock 22 and i have one of the Kel Tec Sub 2000's in 40. So, I am already setup for ammo. It would be kinda cool to have a dual caliber SAA

Yep, you saw several of these neat guns. The 327m Ruger being only one of the Gary Reeder guns.
I will add more as I get them listed.

Aren't the hammers on SAA supposed to be in the white? The CC is outstanding and I'm even thinking about bidding on it.

If you are talking Colt, it depends on what year it was made. I don't know the break down but some of the 1st gens had cased hammers where the 3rd gens have in-the-white sides.

As for the color-case, I betting Turnbull did both the Ruger and this Uberti. Sure looks like his work.

Recently had Gary work on a Ruger Vaquero 32 H&R for me, thought about having him go to 327 mag with it, but didn't
I can attest to the fine craftsmanship Gary provides.

OK, I've been wondering. Have you compared it? Is it just a stretched single 6. This Reeder gun is based on one of the full size 32 H&R Vaqueros. So it is definitely on the heavy side. Might be a good think with full house loads, though.

Got it out for the first time this week. Here's the range report:

I like it. It is indeed basically a stretched Single Six. That is part of its appeal. It seems like a darn-near perfect kit gun. :D
