OT- A Year Ago Today II

Post by GANJIRO »

A year ago today I decided to take my Dad on a outing to take his mind off sad events just 4 days earlier. I took him to the newly opened WWII Pacific Aircraft Museum on Ford Island, Pearl Harbor. I could tell the whole time his mind was elsewhere but he humored he knowing I too was feeling loss, but his face shows his emptiness. I miss you Dad.

Ji,

I have yet to loose my parents. It is wonderful that you had such a bond for yours. They knew they were loved by you and are now singing praises to God above

Ji,

I know how you feel. I lost my dad in 1980 and my mom in 2001. Just me and my brother and a couple aunts now.
Take care. And remember the good times.

Now I have a question. Is that Zero behind you a real Mitsubishi Zero,or a replica?

Yes the real deal, and it was actually flyable before the museum purchased it. The only thing is it's powered by a Pratt & Whitney Twin Wasp engine from a Grumman Wildcat of all things.

WOW, I would say that tops the list of all IRONIES

Especially today, if they make a Wildcat now it would prolly have a mitsubishi
engine in it

Looks like a beautiful museum Ji, God Bless bro.
