From the Yukon...
An 1894 rifle...
an 1895 SRC...
and that "rifle" looks like an 1887 or 1901 to me. (it is on the porch)
Sincerely,
Hobie

A "luxury camp", fer sure ! And a pretty good sized gold pan, to boot.
I wonder if they took that 'bou with the shotgun, or somethin' else.

Anybody know what the "telephone pole" in the background of the last photo is?
Edit:
Funny how I did not see all the wires in the foreground. That pic is not as old as I thought.

The power pole seems out of place to us, thinking that the gold camps were on the far flung fringes of the continent, BUT, sometimes those far flung fringe towns had modern amenities like electricity and "city water" in pipes before towns in the lower 48 did. It may have something to do with the fact that the towns came into being right when some of the amenities were becoming available, and there was a lot of money flowing in the succesful towns and camps.
Thanks for the pics Hobie, very cool.
