Decoyed some more wood pigeon in today.
Sorry about the grin lol!
Ten quality birds from 1oz of 7&1/2 shot on rolled newspaper wads with the occasional fiber wad soaked with olive oil to keep the foul soft.
Here is a siesta'ing bird.
Nath.

Re: proper gun and a cheesy grin!
Great pic and I'd be grinnin' too if I had a day like that!
I remember those guys from hitchhiking around GB in the summer of 1968 and occasionally sleeping rough when I got stuck between towns and couldn't find a widow to take me in. BIG, noisy, and looked good enough to eat.
(Some of the widows were too, but I had my wife with me.....).
One of things that I liked about GB was that there was plenty of open space and lots of game, once you got away from "the Smoke."
Anybody else remember when hitchhiking was the normal way for penniless youth to travel? And nobody had heard of serial killers.

I usta hitch all the time - mostly when in the service, and had little gas $$$ (even @ $0.20/gal).
Hey, Nath - Great post, great photography (as always), and an interesting topic (also as always).
Could you please give up some details, on your hammergun ? (IDK if you already did, once upon a time - I disremember )
