Total: $43.60 done

2 or 3 doe tags to purchase at later dates: ‘not yet’

We should be getting damage control permits in the next 4 weeks for the peach/apple orchard !

I already have stuff ready for the regular hunting seasons here in Virginia and Maryland .
And am trying to get together funds for a Barnett crossbow , think it's about time I worry the Sika deer more then just the ML and gun seasons !

And if by some chance I go to Arkansas in January that could be another $150 !

Oh and if the deer season pans out a little better this year then last I might need one or two sets of bonus VA antlerless tags at $23 per 6 tags if my memory serves !

These are resident fees, non-residents get gouged way more.

Now, if I should win a drawing for an elk tag, the fee is $414.25, and winning an antelope tag is $139.31, but either one of those is nearly impossible to get. If I want to duck hunt on a refuge down in the valley, I have to pay about $1.50 fee for each 1 day drawing application per refuge, and if I get drawn, another $20+ per day to actually hunt!

I've lived here my whole life and would hate to move away, but the taxes, fees, and in general high cost of living, as well as a distasteful political climate, may force me out yet!

Don't move to Oregon, it will cost you as much or even more than California. Oregon used to be a nice little state 60 years ago but then we go invaded by almost 4 million people, mainly from California. There is probably only 1 in 20 native Oregonians over the age of 30.

I'm really into using my X-bow during the long archery season.
Tree rat hunting has even taken a back seat.

I"ve been super bummed about hunting and fishing in Washington....Game sightings are down state wide, and salmon and steelhead fishing in my local rivers is way down....I'm not the only one carping about it either.....I'll go, but, it's getting hard to keep excited about it.....
