Gun Rack for the Range - portable and cheap
Lowes sells these for tools in the garage or garden shed, but they make great gun racks at the range; they are light enough to be portable (and take apart easily), but you'd want a couple shotbags or weights if you didn't fasten it down (mine is fastened).

While the Lowes rack looks and is very functional; the racks at my local range are not always located where they can or should be permanently secured to the wall or floor. We have heavy wooden rifle racks and we cannot store are handguns like that due to all the range safety rules that help keep the place somewhat idiot proof when handling handguns.
That said, I would love one in my workshop.
Hey, it looks like some holes for cleaning rods are available!
Remember the cool gun case Grizz made recently?
I bet he could make a good heavy multi purpose rack!
