Here's A Cool Toy....With SD Potential

Post by Blaine »

Can you imagine deploying 50 BBs per second (@ 500fps) into the face, and torso of a bad guy?

And, it seems to work pretty good...

Somewhere I have plans for a FA BBgun. IIRC the design is from the 80s...

Years ago (during the debate over the 1968 GCA) there was a Freon-powered bb-gun that our wonderful Congress was given testimony about that implied a "full-auto rifle was available via mail-order" and so we needed 'stronger gun control' - of course TIME magazine chimed in with their 'expert' opinion on them...
Doctors for Sensible Gun Laws
"first do no harm" - gun control LAWS lead to far more deaths than 'easy access' ever could.

I remember the ads in "Shotgun News" for those. They took a 1# freon can. It screwed into the bottom of the gun and you could buy twin mounts too. Freon (R12) cost less than $.99 back then and you could buy it almost anywhere. I wish someone would bring those back today powered by CO2. I missed the chance to buy a pair back then.

i can imagine nine 00-Buck traveling at 1200fps+ into the upper torso of a bad guy out of a
Remington 870 Police Magnum...but that BB-gun just speaks, "you have the right to remain stupid,
anything you do or say will get a 10 second burst"...just saying... :)

Can't show that one to Y2K. He's big into airsoft - so you know he'll want one.

And since several of you encourage his thought process that money is no object (when Dad is paying), I don't want to start the debate!

Had one of those freon powered BB guns. Freon didn't work too well, so converted it to compressed air. Let me tell you, that thing would rock and roll. I was going broke buying BB's. IIRC, the thing would hold about 4-500 bb's and empty it in about 10-15 seconds. You could see a stream of bb's going thru the air, if the light was just right.

Friend of mine borrowed it, for reasons I suspect, but never told about. Got burnt up in a house fire.
