Few here will know of or recall this tragedy that happened August 7, 1959, in the small Oregon town of Roseburg. I remember seeing the downtown at age 6, just a few weeks after it happened. The casualties and damage were very similar to what just happened in West, TX, but of course the emergency medical system was medieval in comparison, 54 years ago ...
