It`s very cold outside today so it`s a good day to play with the computer.
Here are a couple pics of what I have been playing with.
Some of the .44 bullets I cast, shown with a .45/38 for perspective.
Papa Bear, Mama Bear and Baby Bear. Some brothers and sisters didn't want their picture taken.
My latest pair of grips. I just finished them this morning. Curley Maple with red die.
Ruger Super Black Hawk .44 mag.
Show us what you have been playing with!!

Sometimes I wonder if it is worthwhile gnawing through the leather straps to get up in the morning..................

Love all of those Chuck and thanks or sharing. I have the twin to your Security Six.....with the finger groove grips it is perfection. Mine are the hogue mono's though; not quite as nice.

Actually what you need is a macro lens.

Udy , Lyman calls it at 300 gr. from Linotype but I find they end up
closer to 310gr. in Lino and 325gr. in Wheel Weights + tin, lubed.
It`s the Lyman 429650 mold. Makes a nice bullet.

Its a fine looking bullet. If I casted I would be interested in the mold. Maybe some day.
Would you mind sharing load data you use for it (assuming its for 44mag.)
I bought a bunch of Jae-bok youngs 330gr. bullets some years ago, that I haven't gotten around to loading yet, but I don't find much data for heavy cast loads. I got a couple ideas from some other folks, but would like to hear what you load those with. I know there different bullets, but just for loose compairisons sake I am interested. Thanks.

The new Lyman Manual has data for this bullet and for several others that are not of their brand.
I have loaded some but have not tested any yet.
I will be shooting it this weekend and will let you know how it went.
I like heavy slow bullets and have replaced the front sights on my .44mags to allow me to get them down to point of aim.
These guns (I have 3, 2@ 3 3/4" and 1@ 4 5/8") have pinned in front sights that I installed front
sights made for the .45 Colt. Ruger .45 Colt sights are .095" taller and will drop the point of impact down to where is should be.
Have fun!!

Thanks, I will buy the Lyman manual and check it out.
I was hoping to run mine around 800-900. Should penetrate for ever and be pleasant to shoot I think.
