I may be a redneck...

Post by Ysabel Kid »

You may be a redneck if...

Your 25 year old leaf blower is held together by three different colors of duct tape!

First repair to the handle, using red duct tape:

Second repair, where the cord enters the unit, using black tape (okay, electrician's, not duct tape):

And finally, true gray classic duct tape to fix the tune!

Mrs. YK thinks I'm being cheap. I just figure that the more I save on some things, the more I get to spend on others - like things with levers!

A redneck doesn't own a leaf blower or a leaf rake.
Leaves are supposed to fall on the ground.

A Redneck can dry his truck, or motorcycle after washing with the leaf blower

Blaine,
No lie--------------Several times a year when its time to clean out "'Ole Yeller", my daily driver 1989 Jeep, I pop the doors off and yes, I fire up the leaf blower and give her the works.

Everything, including owners cards, dead bugs, 3 month old newspapers, empty .223 cases, etc. goes flying out. I pick up the necessary stuff and blow the rest of the trash over to my neighbors. :D

Never had a leaf blower, since we live in the 'country' - we'd never run out of leaves to re-arrange.

Good repair jobs though, but I'd have gone back to the black tape on the spout, or if I had to use grey, I'd have probably candy-caned it or something silly.

After reading the other 'redneck' uses, maybe I'll get a used one sometime if I find one cheap!

Repairs? I think it's just color co-ordinated. A couple of y'all have noted things I use my leaf blower for; cleaning out my truck and "air sweeping" my reloading/play shed...

that's a great idea for my Jeep too...i like the part of sending the unwanted debris to one's neighbors, i'm sure they appreciate the extra mulch...not only can a leaf blower clean a vehicle, but it can be deployed in an act of charity....like it... :)

Need at least one more color of "duck" tape, AND a bit of Gorilla Tape before you really qualify for RN designation on this one.
