Black Powder Henry .44-40 takes AZ State Championship
“in the NRA Cowboy Silhouette Pistol Cartridge category....and in a reproduction Henry rifle at that!
"When the smoke finally cleared from the afternoon match it was Arizona resident Chip Mate on the top of the page with a fine 38X40. His aggregate score of 75X80 was enough for the Pistol Caliber State Championship..... His score also ties the national record!”
“Chip bested all the competitors using smokeless cartridges.”
Load details, etc., are on page two of the thread.

The most important aspect of this signature line is that you don't realize it doesn't say anything significant until you are just about done reading it & then it is too late to stop reading it....

I wish I could have been there to see that.
He can really shoot, and has mastered the difficulty of using black powder too. Well done and congratulations to him!!

Likes just like my Iron Framed Henry but I don't have the rear peep.
Love mine. They are sure fun to shoot. I do agree you can't shoot it offhand and hold the mag tube.
