Wow - I got me a ribbon!

Post by 86er »

Most of you know I write country music for a few labels. Most of the time these labels buy the songs and a mainstream popular artist will sing them. I actually have my own CD and some singles too. Well one of the labels entered my Christmas song titled "Best Gift of All" in the Nashville International Song and Lyric Writing Competition. Since it is international with thousands of entries I didn't even give it a passing thought. Well what do you know? I won the Directors Award for best song lyrics! I'll see you at the CMA Awards!

Very cool and congratulations to you.
The unfortunate thing is these awards aren't usually
part of the televised part of the CMA's.

Well, slap me silly! Congratulations. It isn't easy to win a CMA award.

Good going, Joe. Sometimes I'm very envious of all the things you're good at and get to do, and other times I wonder how you have time to sleep

Wow! Well done Joe!

My brother is a professional musician so I know how difficult it is to be recognized like this and also how talented you must be to have it happen.

Right on man!!
