reduced loads for .250-3000

Post by dogwood2 »

Does anyone have any suggestions for reduced loads for the .250 using the Speer 75 grain flatnose. I have a supply on hand for my .25-35, and I thought a light load might be useful for rabbits and squirrels.

I just tried some 95 gr. RNFP/GC from Montana Bullet Works with 7.5 gr. of Unique in my Savage 99 , and got 1,500 fps and 3/4" groups @ 75 yds. with a receiver sight and 67 yr. old eyes. For me, that's about as good as it gets. www.montanabulletworks.com (406) 655-8163.
Hope this helps.
