OT ? for crs

Post by RKrodle »

crs, does the DWWC in your sig line stand for Dallas Woods and Water Club? If so, could you tell me a little about it? I went to their Web sight and looked around some and I am interested in them. I've been a member of DSC for a couple of years but have never attended a meeting as they are always during the week. I let my DSC membership lapse this year, so far I can't decide whether to renew or look around for something I may be able to enjoy more.

Ricky - I joined DWWC about a month ago. You can call or e-mail Annette and tell her either Charles or I will sponsor you.

WOW, that was quick! Also accurate.
Ricky;
The DWWC is mostly a bunch of good ole boys and some gals that like to hunt, fish, and tell lies about same. We have a monthly dinner meeting with door prizes and a speaker. In addition to meeting lots of folks with like interests, the club sponsors hunting and fishing trips and usually the outfitters give us a group discount. After you get to know folks, there are also lots of non-club activities where only a few members may attend, but not make it a club sponsored event.
The dues are only $75 per year, so it is not expensive to join. There is a monthly newsletter and a periodic magazine, the Banner.
DWWC also sponsors some outdoor activities for kids and has a show booth we work at various shows such as the Dallas Safari Club annual show, Bass Pro shows, the Hunters Extravaganza in Ft Worth, etc.
You can definitely use Joe or me as a sponsor with your application if you wish to join. Also, you will be just in time for our annual fund raising auction and dinner March 15 ===>
