Winchester Bob has come through with a nice repair for the wallowed out firing pin hole in my 100+ years old 1892 bolt. It is now fixed with a hole just the right size for the smokeless powder firing pin. Below are before and after pics of the bolt face:
Before - this big hole made by years of shooting with the blackpowder firing pin allowed the primer to flow into it and sometimes rupture.
After - this looks just right.
Bob also cleaned up the bolt for reassembly. Now, as soon as the stock refinishing is done, it can be put back together for some after pics of the completed rifle. Then off to the range for some test firing.

Unfortunately my monitor shows pics very dark. I can't see the "after" pic good enough to tell what was done.
What did Winchester Bob do to fix the hole?

Joe;
He was going to Tig weld the firing pin hole closed and then drill a new hole the right size in the right place for the smokeless firing pin. There were likely more details to it than I listed, but then I am not a welder and just repeated what I was told.
