Leverguns Texas Safari Teaser w/ Pics - MORE

Post by 86er »

This group consisted of JackG, PapaBear, Ganjiro, RKrodle, Piller, Terry Barlow, Tycer, 86er, Richard and Mike Rintoul.

Here is Piller with an almost 2000 lbs Water Buffalo. He shot it twice with a 480 Ruger, 400gr bullet. It went about 100 yards. We located it about a half hour later. Upon approach the buff attempted to charge us! Piller got two good shots into the shoulder and a barage of 45-70 and 500 Linebaugh complimented Piller to keep the beast down.

Terry Barlow used my Savage 99 in 308 and was assisted by RKrodle. Terry made a good shot from a blind and shot again when the animal didn't fall instantly. This is a Black Hawaiian Ram.

Mike Rintoul used his Grizzly Cartridge/Cast Performance Bullet combo in 500 Linebaugh with a 500gr bullet to take a 250 pound Spanish Goat. Mike is quite proficient, hitting the ram several times shooting two-handed, the first shot at over 60 yards.

Here's some of the group w/ Mike Rintoul. Ji, PapaBear, LSmith, RKrodle, M. Rintoul, Andy G. and Terry Barlow.

86er with an Ibex. Stalked for over an hour and finally got a good 50 yards or so shot. 45-70 with 405gr Kodiak Bullet.

Andy G was on his first big game hunt and first rifle hunt. He shot a 150 pound boar hog the first night with a 30-30 and borrowed rifle.

L. Smith took a blackbuck with a 44 Mag Contender pistol.

PapaBear shot a blackbuck and an Aoudad both with a 35 Rem.

RKrodle shot a black hawaiian ram and a spike red deer/elk cross both with one shot each from a BLR in 358 Win.

Tycer shot a red deer/elk cross with a 358 Win.

Ji shot a blackbuck with a 357 handi rifle.

JackG shot a Texas Dall Ram with a 7mm Ultra Mag.

Pretty neat how you got that big critter to smile for the camera whilst it was eating like that . . . ;)

Seriously, it appears as if a good time was had by all, 'cept maybe the critters. Thanks very much for sharing.

86er;
Good stuff! Looks like you already have a Texas hat for your relocation. I am working on some quail hunting options and your dogs are fine - playing outside in the day and sleeping in their crates inside at night.
Let me know when you get back to Dallas and we can arrange for me to pick up my Blackbuck mount and discuss birdhunting plans.
