OT: Bragging On My Kids Again
Only one daughter, but I couldn't have picked a better son than her new hubby. He just got hired on at the Department of Corrections. Doing his training now. He's 23 and she's 22. They've picked themselves up by the bootstraps and kept their noses clean, gone to church and worked hard and done well in school. She's half Korean, he's part Injun.....too bad they are being held down by The Man and can't get work.

Thats nice. Congrats to them and you. My son just went back to his apartment in another state where he is studying for his PhD in math. He has been home for a long winter break and was hard to see him go. He's 23 also, dating a very nice young lady. Could not be prouder myself.

Raising kids that turn out well is one of most encouraging things in life. Glad to hear about your daughter and her hubby. Now you got me going, I'm gonna brag on my two daughters a bit. A couple weeks ago, both of them were in a Western Ontario figure skating competition. Out of six events they competed in, they brought home 5 medals, including 2 golds. When I see them out there on the ice doing their jumps and fancy stuff, my shirt is about fit to pop. No way could I do that (nor would I necessarily want to). I tell them that if they ever need a clown to go out there and fall all over the place and look like an idiot, I'm their man! (provided I can have my face all painted up so that no one ever finds out who it was).
