tribute to dads

Post by donw »

after seeing No. 7's tribute i'm moved to pay tribute to my dad.

my dad passed in 1998 i still think of him nearly every day.

he was not an assuming man, not a big man, just an average man.

he solidered hard thru WWII & Korea starting off in the horse cavalry in 1932 and ending his career in the infantry in 1956.

he taught us kids right from wrong, made sure we were cared for properly and got an education.

even though dad was a small man, i have a hard time filling his shoes.

it's dads like these we owe a debt of gratitude.
if you think you're influencial, try telling someone else's dog what to do---will rogers

Amen .

My Dad was one of the best men I have ever known .

The same can be said for just about all my uncles .

None were perfect , they all had their strengths and weaknesses , but they were truly the " Greatest Generation " .

All better men than I will ever be .

God bless ,
Wyr

My father died 27 years ago today. Much too young, much too soon... :(

My Dad passed all most 5 years ago. My mom just gave me his old Argus C-3 35mm camera which he probably bought in the fifties. Just looking at it makes my heart ache. I'm going to try fixing it up and start using it. :(

I can't fill my dad's shoes. I've tried but they are several sizes too big for me. Dad died June 28, 1999 and I was dreaming about him just last night...
Sincerely,

Hobie
