OT - Home alone

Post by Ysabel Kid »

It's New Year's Eve and I am sitting alone in my PJ's - and it isn't even 7:30pm yet!

Been fighting some sort of cold or crud for the last two weeks, and it decided to hit hard last night after dinner. Sore throat and achy joints. Woke up this morning feeling worse, and it just got worse as the day progressed. We were supposed to spend New Year's Eve with some friends. By the time we were to leave, I sent the family on so I wouldn't ruin their celebration.

Oh well, I avoided the crud all year - it was bound to happen.

Happy New Year all! :D

Sorry to hear your under the weather. I've stayed healthy until this week and started coming down with something also. Staying in tonight and hope I fell well enough to do some hunting tomorrow morning. This is the last weekend for deer hunting here and so far I've struck out.

Sorry to hear that guys. For two weeks I knew I was fighting a cold as I'd wake up in the morning with a stuffy nose. Well last saturday it went full blown. Runny nose, sore throat and coughing. I've passed the peak and I'm slowly going down the side to recovery. I took the week off to spend time with my wife, family, range and then this hit. Haven't gotten very far from the house.

I'm home alone too, but not sick. I hope you get better quick. My day was made when my wife said she had talked to my son. When asked what he and his wife were doing tonight, he told her he was just staying home - too many once-a-year drunks on the road for him. That made my day cause I've always told him, since he began driving, that on New Years eve, of the cars he met on the road, assume that they were either drunks or police - particularly late at night. Some things do sink in.

Kid,
Whats the matter with that? I prefer it that way. Thats all other people do anyway is ask stupid questions about your personal life or ask to borrow money. Besides, New Years Eve is "amature's night" for once a year drinkers. Its better to stay home and smoke some weed. :D

That is just a lack of expensive chiropractic care. I can fix that! :)

Happened to me a couple of years ago -- must have spent 200 bucks or more on Western DVD's at the local "Vintage Stock" store ( for those that dont have em, its just a chain store that specializes in used dvd's, cd's and videa games)

I have yet to watch a few of them, but in a weird way, that was the most relaxed week i ever had (aside from all the alka seltzer and amoxicillin that is)

Thanks guys. I didn't sleep at all New Years Eve, though I went to bed early. I now have a killer migraine on top of everything else. My wife took me to the ready-med yesterday; she was woried I had strep. I didn't, but the swap came out covered in blood, so I have something nasty. Been feeling progressively worse and was up all night this night. Actually hurts to look at the screen, so I'm going to go back to bed. If you don't hear from me in the next couple-few days, it's just that I'm fighting whatever this is.

On a positive note though, I've only eaten a few saltine crackers since Friday afternoon. Maybe I'll lose some weight! :D

There is ALWAYS a silver lining!
