First Year Marlin Model 39 & 1849 Colts

Post by Sixgun »

How about this baby. Came through the door last night at Targetmaster. Its a 4 digit serial number. Made in 1922. I'll be listing it for Tom on Guns America in a few days. This is how the colors looked back then.

Other than some hammer marks, this gun could almost pass for new

He also got in 2 presentation boxed 1849 Colts. Came complete with original Colt bullet moulds, Eley caps and other things. One is London marked. The Hartford 1849 is a 90% gun with beautiful colors that may be unfired. These were made in the early 50's----1850's!

The bottom picture is Tom & myself, (holding the Colt M-4 Enhanced with semi auto, full auto, and 3 round burst capabilities) gloating over the snags of the Marlin and the Colt 1849's---------Sixgun (I have no idea why I am gloating--none of its mine.

Wow that sure is a beauty. Is that all original? Has it been restored?

All of these guns are the way they left the factory-------guaranteed. I am not sure on the price of the Marlin. It will probably be in the mid 3's. This is high dollar investment grade stuff and if anyone is interested, drop me an e-mail.
