I owe 20cows bigtime!

Post by Sheepman Dave »

Just over a year ago I sat in a doctors office getting my @ss chewed by my Doctor. Your too fat, blood pressure too high, glucose is too high, cholesterols are all bad, triglycerides are bad. If you don't die of a heart attack or stroke, I'll be sawing your legs off.

Blah, blah blah. Silently seething, I sat there wondering just how much noise he would make if I were to beat him to death with the stool he sat on.

Luckily, I went home and checked in here. Nothing cheers a person up more that firearms & tall tales. Thats when I saw a post by 20cows & weight loss. I sent off a PM and we talked about what worked for him.

Well, fast forward 13 mos. and there I sat in my unfriendly Doctor's office waiting. Opens my file looking at the lastest test results. Hmmm, looks back at the front cover rechecking the name. :o "It seems that your Blood Pressure is good, glucose, cholesterols & triglycerides are all in the good range, and you've lost 75 pounds. Keep it up!"

Today was a good day. Tip of the hat to you 20cows, next round is on me. :D

Good deal! So are you more active now because of the weight loss?

20cows must be working on another puzzle since I haven't heard fron him lately.

I don't need to lose 75 pounds, but I'd love to drop 25. I have to get started after the holidays (no point setting myself up for failure)!

Congrats and wonderful job with getting her done!   20Cows has been an inspiration to me as well, along with Mescalero's encouragement. I'm only at 60-65 total lost but Cholesterol dropped back into the normal range for me as well. BP down to where I was when I was 20. Feels great doesn't it?

Now that's helping a brother out. After the holidays I've got to get something going so I can drop about 40 lbs.
