Is this any good on .348 brass...???

Post by guido4198 »

Found some older, but still brand new Winchester primed .348 brass in yellow 20 rd. boxes at a small local retail outlet the other day. They're asking $11.49 per box. Is this a good deal or just so-so...??? :?:
Thanks for your thoughts,
Guido

It's a fair deal.
I would buy it if I had the opportunity.

I'd snap it up. The yellow boxes make it late 60s or early 70s I think. They went to the white boxes in the late 70s as I remember, I still have a few of those I bought at the original Gander Mountain in Wilmot, Wisconsin in the late 70s. It was just a concrete-block building in the middle of nowhere, with a small space at the front with a desk where you could put in an order & wait for it to be brought out.
Now listen boy, I'm tryin' to teach you somethin'. That ain't an optical illusion, it only LOOKS LIKE an optical illusion.

I thought that was one of the first rules in the Church of the 71...when you find 348 brass...get it! Least ways, that what I always figured. Buy all the boxes the place has of 348, it won't go bad and there is always someone in this crowd who will take it off your hands if you give up your 71 and go over to the dark side (like take up golfing or some other strange pagan activity).
