OT:Prayer Request

Post by Goat »

I have a prayer request for this weekend. My Father has been a Free Methodist pastor in excess of fifty years now and is supposed to be retired. Yet he and my step-mother are pastoring a very small rural church in a VERY out of the way spot in a mostly farming community. They have asked me to be the speaker at their church for a revival meeting. Some may not know what that is or have not been to a "revival" in many years. It is a series of church services where the people come together to hear God's Word preached and pray in an effort to bring new life into the church. I guess you could call it getting your batteries re-charged. It will be a waste of effort if is only people comming together to here me preach. I know that some of you are praying people and experience the power and presence of God in your lives. Please pray that the people of the Acme Free Methodist Church will be open to God and what He wants to do for them. Please pray that I will be a vessel used of Him to speak His Word with love, clarity and annointing. I thank you for your prayers in this matter.

Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes.

I don't believe that for a second, your words of your request here belies the fact that you feel you have nothing to pass on to the congregation. Someone there will need what you say.

Prayers sent.

Prayer requests are never off topic if Christ lives and acts in and through us.
Your words will be meaningless if the Spirit of the Lord is not there. I pray that the
Spirit of our Lord will begin right now to draw those to the meetings that need to be there. Also that while you are speaking the Spirit will be working through you and drawing those in need to Himself. It is only in Him that the Spiritual person and the Spiritual church can survive.

Thanks for the prayer support guys! Last night's service went well. I was enabled to preach far beyond my ability! Please keep this church and people in your prayers through the coming weeks as they face some big struggles. I will not be able to post again until Monday. I am most thankful for you taking time to pray in our behalf. May God Himself richly bless you. Thanks again.

Prayers offered up for Goat and the Acme Free Methodist Church parishioners that they would be receptive to hear the word of the Father, through Jesus and the Holy Spirit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
