Does anyone or has anyone made a .44 spl only levergun?
I know a .44 mag will take .44 spls, or light .44 mag loads, but I'm looking for something a little different. I could go with a .44 WCF (which is likely), but for some reason the idea of a dedicated .44 spl lever action seems interesting to me.
My first attempt at an outdoors website: http://www.diyballistics.com

If you wander over to the Buffalo Arms website, you will find the Uberti 1873 Winchester available in .44 Spl.

I, for one, think that it is a nearly ideal cartridge for a levergun such as the 1873.
Sure wish I had $1100 to scratch that itch.

I believe Uberti also makes a .44 Special-only 1866 as well. Probably available (1873 too) through www.cimarron-firearms and www.taylorsfirearms.com in adition to Buffalo.

Buffalo Arms sell the Uberti and Uberti made Cimmarron 73 clones in 44 special.
Dixie Gunworks also has one listed on occasion.
