Oddly, I'm working my butt off this morning ... on my birthday.

My wife invited about 65 people over and she's made Crawfish Etoufee in puff pastry cups, Crawfish Augratin over rice, miniature Beef Wellingtons, Mac & Cheese, Carrot cake, Chocolate Mouse with Raspberry sauce, and assorted other goodies.

I have beer chilling duty (a little rock salt involved to get below freezing), am responsible for frying the 15 lbs of Crawfish tails, and have to grill the hanger steak and sausages for some of the other items. Come about 3pm though, I will be off my feet and kicking back by the pool with a cold one. Might take the Jet Ski out or pull some kids in the tube on the lake. I'll post some pictures of the mayhem later.

Thanks for all of the well wishes.

Not lately. But I do happen to have a recently acquired Canjar 540X-1S single set trigger (something I really wanted) that I will be applying to my Remington 592M in the coming weeks. I want to see how the old 5MM RRM can perform with a top notch trigger and a good scope on her. Then I may follow up with some long distance raccoon work. ;)

I'm 45 now ... which Blaine will tell you is the correct number as it goes easily into a 1911.
