I need to ship 17 Rounds of 30-30 in an original box in the Styrofoam packing.
How do you ship small amounts of ammo?
USPS if it fits it ships?
UPS?
Thank you, John

Re: Shipping ammo ?
It is against Federal law to ship any kind of ammo through the U.S.P.S. ! You are stuck with U. P. S. (Unlimited Parcel Smashers) and I do believe they also get a surcharge, but I'm not positive on that though.

Re: Shipping ammo ?
UPS is the way, but in my area the driver must pick up at your home or business. Just make sure it is packed in a tight box and write "ORM-D small arms ammunition" on the outsideof the box. If you call UPS they will tell you everything you need to know. There was no additional surcharge the last time I shipped ammo.
Re: Shipping ammo ?
I highly recommend Fed Ex Home Delivery or Fed Ex Ground. You must write ORM-D on the outside of the package in black block letters, but there is no requirement to write ammuniton or anything like that on the outside. In the contents section of the shipping label you write metallic cartridges. There is no extra charge from Fed Ex for a small quantity (up to 11 pounds).

Re: Shipping ammo ?
I needed to ship some ammo one time so I went to one of the little UPS Stores. The young lady behind the counter was very pleasant but informed me that ammo had to be shipped directly from the main UPS hub, and gave some reason why. Then she said, "or you can come back here when I'm not working and just don't tell them what's in the box, we never ask."

Re: Shipping ammo ?
Greetings,
I have sent ammo via UPS from their hub in Traverse City. Just as 86er said, put ORM-D on the box, no grief and no questions asked.

I didn't fail the test, I just found 100 ways to do it wrong.
