Marlin 39 and target.

Post by Hillbilly »

Todays results... 1968 Golden 39... rested on a pickup... 25 yards...30 rounds.

The ammo was a 50/50 mix of Winchester "333" copper clad and some of that HV bulk hollow points. The circle on the plate is the size of a US quarter dollar coin.

I need some more practice.

Thanks...trust me... the rifle makes me look A LOT BETTER.

This Marlin is capable of virtual one hole groups with every ammo I've ever sampled with it. I am awed and humbled every time I shoot this rifle... Awesome, just awesome.

You will really see your rifle's potential if you try a box of either of these 2, mid priced, match ammo. They're the actually both exactly the same stuff, made by Lapua, but packed in different boxes.

I think I have owned 4 Marlin 39As. They all shot great. The one I have now I will keep. It was made in 1948 and is in great condition.
