OT Savge 114

Post by RustyJr »

My cousin just bought a savage 114 bolt action in 270 Win and is having trouble mounting the scope rings. Is there a set of offset rings that needs to be used for this rifle.

Thanks,
RustyJr

I think that the pre-accutrigger rifles use different mounts than the accutrigger rifles, make sure he has the correct mounts since the receivers are a bit different.

I use Talley rings/mounts to eliminate one point of movement since they are ring/mount combos. One of these should fit, look at the receiver. One set is round, one set has a flat.

Check out Talley's website for more part numbers.

Thanks Deerwacker,

I had Jr. post this as I was out on the road when my nephew called me to ask the question. He was rather annoyed when he tried to mount the scope on his new rifle. You were most helpful.
