We had a "weather event"... the Weather Channel Mobile was filming outside of my Office this morning.

When I left TedH at Hammond Cabelas, he went West back to Chicago and I went East into a "Lake Effect Snow Band". (a narrow blizzard...)

Zero visibility for about 30mi, with a good 3" already on I-94.

30mi East of me there is NO SNOW. 60 Mi west of us there is essentially NO SNOW.

We got 7 to 17 inches depending on where in town you are... Some places in the Band got 20".

All in all a nice little snow storm IMO... but then, I'm from the Rockies/Alaska... 8)

We got some lake effect today too. Was just expecting an inch or so. Theres' several inches of the fluffy stuff out there already.

What is that white stuff all over there? I truly don't miss shoveling that stuff just so I could get out of a house as I had to do when I was a teenager. When I was too young to pick up a shovelfull, my Dad and olderbrothers did it, but it became my turn all too soon.
