A photo for Rangerider

Post by C. Cash »

Here is a old prop studio photo that was sent to me by this man's daughter. This is a cousin of mine...Henry Monroe Cash of Joy, Texas. You can easily tell that the stuff is prop stuff. But, he was indeed apart of a large farming/ranching family and was no stranger to that lifestyle.

That's a great photo even if they were props. I don't have a neat western type photo of my grandfathers on ether side of my family. One was a horse trader the other a blacksmith. My wife's grandfather had one made in De Leon, Texas in 1898 that's a pip though! He had just taken his Colt SAA off before the photo was taken because he thought it would be to austintaceous for his local friends. He had just returned from a cattle drive from Stamford to Alpine Texas, about 900 miles.

Great photos.

Here's one of my Grandfather from his border patrol days. The bottom
photo was taken many years later somewhere on Lake Erie.

These are two of the best I have run across that are not identified. The top is probably (?) a prop or at least some of the attire. The boots fit to good for props. The bottom (reversed) I think not.

Great photos....nice Merwin and Hulbert too! You don't often see them for some reason.
