Here is the link to the bullet description on the Winchester web site - note claim of "delayed controlled expansion".

I do not recognize the bullet used, nor can I find it as a loading component on the Winchester site. Any ideas?
Me neither, so I took pictures alongside a Win Supreme Partition Gold .45-70 with Nosler Partition Protected Point bullet.
First from the side:

Then head on:

Note how the .405 lead tip is slightly exposed and the Nosler lead, though visible, is protected by the wrap around copper jacket.
The .405 jacket also is weakened by 6 cuts in the copper jacket to promote controlled expansion and the Nosler is not.
Does anyone recognize the .405 bullet, or is it a Winchester bullet that is just not available to handloaders and for which no performance data has been published?
