I came across this and thought some of you might enjoy it. Might encourage you to make a pilgrimage to the Buffalo Bill museum in Cody WY, figure on being there 3 days to take it all in!

That was a good article. I went to the museum in 1993, and it was possible to see it all in one day, but you couldn't get all the details. I was a bit disappointed that while there were lots of firearms to see, they just had the most minimal info on everything attached. I had been hoping to see more, like where the gun came from, where it was used, who might have used it--more than just "Flintlock rifle, ca. 1700". Still worth seeing, just a tad light in info. That was where I finally got to see a Webley-Fosberry semi-auto revolver, about which I had read years before.
