I need to find a higher front sight for my Browning 1895, any suggestions?

This is not being sarcastic. On a vintage Winchester 95 I own (made 1915), someone removed the pin holding the blade, and inserted a worked over coin (I think it was a dime) that was filed to a reasonable shape, and even had a pin hole drilled in it. Then the original retaining pin was replaced.

I believe this was a common expedient in days gone by.

Replaced mine seven years ago with an XS white stripe ramped blade. Works so well that I began replacing the front sight on all my open sighted guns with one. The blade defines elevation and windage far better than a bead and the stripe helps quick acquisition in any light.
