OT: Eye surgery update ~or~ we have created a monster

Post by J Miller »

Well, my wife can see now. And now that she can see, she's seeing how dirty the house is. She's seeing the cob webs up in the corners of the ceiling, the floor and other things she couldn't see before. Dirty spots on the walls and other things too. So she's starting to clean house. I found her lying on the bed scrubbing her dresser. A little bit here, a little bit there.

But ....... now she's cleaning my shooting stuff too :o :x .
I went down to get my shooting tool box and it ... it .... was ......... clean. I didn't recognize it at first.
This is going too far. Gentlemen, we have created a monster.

On the serious side, she's not as tired. Not as sick, hasn't had anywhere near as many headaches. Isn't as dizzy or uncoordinated. So now I may be in trouble. She's talking about making me go to the eye people.

Joe, I think your the one thats getting the eye opener! Ha! I couldnt resist. Its a good thing she's seeing the light now, just not so good for you. :D Seriously, I'm happy for her and glad to hear she is doing better!. It is good to hear!.I noticed in another post something about how she might be able to outshoot you now. I sure wish my wife would give me some compitition. At least pick up a firearm and shoot it. Congrats to the both of you. Now, go get to work on those cobwebs  ...Steve. :P

Yeah Joe, better go find that broom. :D

That's good news though, that she can see. Not that she's messing with your stuff. Next time you go to find it, it'll be moved somewhere you can't find it.

Don't let her look at you...

If she remembers you back when you were handsome, and hasn't seen you for ten years, then suddenly sees you as you are now, it could be too much of a shock. Best just tell her you're the butler, since you'll be doing the honey-do list anyway!

Seriously - glad it went well for her. Maybe all our 'levergun' prayers worked.

Keep us posted on how it goes, and if there's anything we can do.

Rejoicing here about your wife's successful surgery! Praise the Lord!!

Now - down to business - some survival gear.

I recently purchased this, and use it all the time, when my wife complains about me tracking in stuff after a day in the field. It's around 20 bucks and well worth it - for the mate of a concscientious, well-sighted loved one! It's called the Swivel Sweeper; takes up zero storage room (stands upright in the corner of a closet); recharges from a wall socket; and is lightweight, quick -

10 to 1 you'll end up buying it before Santa visits your house twice!

Joe, you just have to lay down some rules. There are a few areas of the house that she is not allowed to touch, and has no input into decorating. The garage, my office, and my reloading area. It is a small percentage of the home and she has absolute say everywhere else. But a man needs "man space" brother - so lay down the law!

And afterwards, ask her real nicely if she doesn't mind!

Hey, if she can see and wants to clean it herself, what's the problem? :D

It's when she can see and starts telling YOU where to wipe, well that's a different thing!
