This feller was taken by me last night on dark, oh and sorry I did not get the camera set right.
My 9422 never ceases to amaze, I spotted these two wabbits at what must be 120ish yards so I told my self if I can guess the buck and get him in the head he can go with the wounded pheasant I found earlier to make a tasty curry that I can smell now
Guessing hold and a pinch,,,sorry just had to put the rice on
When he got up he ran up the side of the drilled winter wheat field and stopped even further out, I sent the second shot and just skimmed his head which sent him a spinning and made him run out into the field confused.
The third did the same which made him run further away. At the last shot I think I was guessing around 9" of hold and 3" to the left for the very light wind. SMACK, straight through his head!
I paced the distance, 162 paces!
I think my 9422 trapper is the best 22 I have ever had.
Before this I took 5 grey squirl and two wood pigeon Sunday afternoon not forgeting the cock pheasant I found from the neighboring shoot that had all it's feet and legs shot up and tail missing. It was a shame the feller that shot at him was not just 6" forward because the dense cluster of shot on his feet would of done him good and proper but thats what happens with shot gunning.
Any ways I'm still here, levergunning my way around
Nath.
