Uberti 76 question?

Uberti 76 question?

I was thinking about doing something kinda dumb. I have a couple of those Taylor 76's and was thinking of taking the wood off one of them and refinishing it. They came with that bright reddish high-gloss look and I am pretty partial to that dark walnut finish. Does anybody know what kind of wood they used on them?
