Does anyone here have any experience with one of these? I know they don't make them anymore, but when I can afford it again, I might look for a used one. It might be a good rifle for my wife who love bolt guns, but not necessarily the high pressure and kick of a lot of the pointy rounds.

I have two of them. Trigger pull isn't too bad, but the rear sight is plastic. Once I get the right height figured out, I will put a williams on. Nice light carbine. Might put a scope on one or get rid of it and only keep one. They are kind of scarce. Wish they would have made one with a wood stock and stainless. :D

I never saw a 788 that was not accurate.
