Help Identify Mystery Levergun Wood, Please... With Pictures

Gents,

I bought some forend wood from a guy in France. He does not know what these pieces fit, but I thought that they are for a Winchester. I have tried them on my rifles. Only one forend is drilled for a barrel band screw. Four of them appear to have had barrel bands on them, three with NO screw hole. The fifth forend appears to be some sort of new old stock, and has a small, unreadable label on it. This "white", uncolored forestock has a longer tip than all of the other pieces. It is actually as long as the tip on my B92. ALL of them nicely hug the barrels of my rifles, but the mag tube tunnel fits only my .30-30 tube. These forends do not readily fit into the fronts of all of my receivers. Can you tell me what these fit? Here are some pictures of my purchase:

Could they be made for the Spanish made copy of the 92 ? I think it was called something like "El Tigre"
Yes I know that's the name of a famous cannon! But I'm sure I saw a 92 carbine of that name.

GK - you are correct - there is a '92 that goes by that name.

Since they came from France I'd lean towards the El Tigre idea but they might be from an Italian repro... It seems to me you have a couple of different types of wood there. Is the species important to you? Take them to a forester, he might know. My dad had to be able to ID finished wood blocks as part of his college education.

The forend of my 1886 has the holes for springs in the butt end also.

Gentlemen,

I am thinking that what I have are forestocks for a Winchester 1886 carbine, .33WCF. Tycer's comments, along with my limited hands-on experience, a poor picture from the 'Net, and this picture:



...make me believe that. The front of the receiver looks like it would easily accept the u-shaped tennon of the forearms that I have.

Anyone else have any more ideas?

If they fit a '92, they'll be too small for an '86.

So, if what I have sort of looks like wood for an '86, and they almost fit a '92 & a '94, and the magazine hole fits a .30-30 tube, then what is left? ...1866,1873, 1876, 1895?
