A Few Pics From Colorado

Post by Sixgun »

Guys,
Sure is nice being away from the East Coast and all its aggravation. My son, John (Sixgun Jr.) and I decided not to go elk hunting this year and just take a week and play--you know, shoot and hit all the gunshops. Elk Hunting ain't easy the way we do it----with tent, no horses, and 10 degree weather-----and I just needed to rest these 54 year old bones.

Anyway, On Saturday, we drove on down to Pueblo, Co. to visit my good friend Gary (Cimarron Red) who is also a member of Leverguns. Gary & I did a lot of shooting and competing together in Pennsylvania before he moved away on me. (seems like everyone I like moves away from me--I hope the reason is the East Coast and not me! :D ) Gary is a Master Class BPCR Competitor and has taught me a lot on offhand shooting. Gary also has a 7 special order optioned 1894 38-55 I dearly fell in love with. It has a half rd/oct barrel, shotgun butt, half mag, special rear and front sights, nickel steel barrel, (very rare on 38-55) and takedown feature. OOoooooohhhh, and that 1894 in 30-30 with a stainless steel OCTAGON barrel. Well, thats enough drooling--here's a couple of pics.--------------Sixgun

I've been to Colorado quite a few times, and it is a Beautiful State. My older brother lives in one of the Denver suburbs, and my Mom's family used to live in Grand Junction. If I could afford the houses, I'd love to move out there. Still, there is a lot of beautiful countryside out there.

I got stuck at 10 degrees! Brrrrrr!!!

Yes, my blood thinned quite a bit - and quickly - when I moved south!

Thanks for sharing the pictures Sixgun! :D
