Just tried about half a box in my marlin 1936. Anyone notice tougher extraction with these than other factory rounds ?
Seems the shoulder is just a tad shorter and steeper than the other brands I have here on hand.

I've shot half a box of this ammo also and had no extraction issues.
It does seem to have a bit more pop(felt recoil)than other factory ammo.It also shoots about 3" high at 50 yds. with rear sight bottomed out.

I have 2 boxes but I don't want to shoot it in my 1893 , 1936 or 336SC !
If I could find a nicer later model 336A that I could scope I would shoot the stuff ! Otherwise I think I'll wait for Marlin to make the 336XLR in 32 Special or rebarrel a 336XLR 30-30 .

Have you guys set other factory rounds next to the hornadys . I didn't until after I got home from the range , but to my very uneducated eyes there is a slight difference. I only had a little time so I didn't take any other brands with me , but didn't notice much change in felt recoil.
