Marble's tang sight for Marlin 1895

Post by Naphtali »

Marble's makes a folding spring-loaded tang sight for Marlin 1895s. I think I read that its installation does not conceal the rifle's serial number on the top tang. How is the sight installed? If anyone has a graphic of the sight installed on an 1895, please post it.

Is there one model version of the sight for all currently manufactured Marlin 1895s, or are models available for different Marlin versions -- such as Guide Gun, Cowboy, XLR, etc.?

One for all. Works on the 336 maybe on the 94 as well. If you need a different length of "staff" Marbles sells them.

I'm pretty sure the Marbles sight does cover the serial number, it just doesn't require a d&t hole through the serial number.

As I view the graphics, the difference in Marlin's 336 variant and the others is that Marlin's sight base is truncated. If I saw what is, this explains how the serial number remains readable.
