Fire at Ruger factory.

Post by 2ndovc »

Just found this on Foxnews.com:

NEWPORT, N.H. — A gun factory in Newport, New Hampshire, is operating normally despite a fire overnight in an area where gun parts are cleaned.

The fire at the Sturm Ruger & Co. factory was reported about 6:30 Sunday night and put out in less than an hour.

Tom Sullivan — vice president for operations at the factory — says the fire was in a small room with tanks of chemicals used to clean new gun parts. Because of that, firefighters had to use dry chemicals rather than water.

Sullivan says an electrical problem with a heater may have started the fire. He says the company is still assessing the damage.

If any of their guns are smoke damaged or need test fired just to be sure they are ok, just have them send them on down. 8)

Let's see if they suddenly have a surplus of case-colored guns...

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

I'll tell ya.

As a restortion contractor that's one fire job I'd LOVE to snag!
