Re: Help finding Remington 81 sight and troubleshooting ejection
Sight came yesterday but the mounting screw is some weird thread so had to order the screw from a company that is making them.
So it will be a few more days till i get it on.

made a aperture from a Allen head bolt.
The size is a little smaller but it screws in tight.
The sight picture is clear and crisp, i couldn't`t see the thin walled circle without one.

Pitchy if that doesn't work for ya I have bought from these folks and been happy. The pawn shop has a 81 in 35 thats been reblued for 325 and has a williams peep on it. If I wasn't on the short list at work I would be grabbing it.

EdinCT, thanks, that`s where i ordered the base screw from also and that seems like a good buy on the 81.

Got the peep mounted today so gave it a try at 100 yards, think i can see the barrel sight just as good but it`s nice on there.
Pulled left on the first shot, not a bad group.
I like and will stick with that load for now, use at your own risk.

Great looking peep. That's some good shooting too. I thought those rifles were supposed to be all that accurate.

Caught this picture of the barrel in the rear position, notice the big hole in barrel.
